For example, the baby sleeps well so the exhaustion is actually coming from the 4 year old who has just discovered the power of a "scary dream"! I once repeatedly checked my very young DS's clean nappy because I could smell something malodourous... eventually realising that it was the (very) bad breath of the visitor who was cuddling him!!! BFP's consistency and (more relevantly) sneaky ability to escape from the nappy are less pleasant! So is a third baby like your description of third pregnancy- you are well briefed and know what's coming? Or does the mix of two older siblings and a new baby throw in a few curved balls? Breastfed poo is certainly a pleasant smell, especially in retrospect!
