We have a new favourite book in our household! Olivia is a cheeky little pig that really makes you laugh! The illustrations are incredibly witty, Ian Falconer has captured the ego-centrism, magic and unbridled enthusiasm of preschoolers perfectly.
Olivia’s biggest talent is wearing people out - something all parents of little kids can relate to! She also has a little brother who loves to copy her, and occasionally needs discouragement. It’s just like real life!

Oh im so glad its a good one as we have it on our bookshelf and i get it out sometimes but then i sigh and put it back after one page as alas SP is not up to it yet….maybe in a couple of years.. How old is Big Sis?

Big Sis is just 4 - but I think anytime from “nearly 3″ SP would love it. Having said that Little Bro (not quite 2) enjoys is because his big sister does, and even points at Olivia and says her (Big Sis’) name - so he obviously “gets” it. Watching them grow into books is one of my favorite bits of parenthood!
