It is of course a law of the universe that the weekend I volunteer to host my first blog carnival the family come down with gastro!
Fortunately we are ‘falling’ in sequence (as opposed to all at once), Big Sis is already over it and is (fingers crossed) asleep in her own bed for the whole night. Little Bro has collapsed in DSOs arms in the lounge room after a solid afternoon of being sick. I suspect either DSO or I (hopefully not both) will be ’struck down’ before the morning! So its for the best that I get the carnival post out now - wish us luck!
Happy reading - so many entries and some fabulous writers! Enjoy.

[…] As the tittle suggests, the latest carnival of family life is up over at Down With The Kids. I wanted to share my Skye J’s ability to dropkick the world if you tried to change her diaper.  ooo I miss my Skye J. But there are also Tips For Traveling With Kids and a Thursday 13 on Toddler Entertainment.  I tried to leave a message on her blog that Skye also would find my bra ANYWHERE I hid them and run through the house shrieking at the top of her lungs but her blog only allows Google bloggers to comment. Anyway go check them out! Thanks - so far so good, the kids seem to be on the mend and I have freakishly avoided it (so far). Apologies to those that got 2 trackbacks, in my delirium I published twice (who knows how?) and deleted one….. looks ok on the site but you may have got 2 notifications…

[…] This week’s Carnival of Family Life is being hosted at Down with the Kids, and it’s another record breaking number of submissions! Here are a few that caught my eye this week: Eric presents How To Check if Your Child Fractured His or Her Finger Without Them Knowing that You’re Checking posted at Husbandhood. Thanks for hosting the carnival. I appreciate it. I loved the rides and the salt water taffy.

Yeah - carnival is a very descriptive word and works well I think when paired with ‘family life’. Lots of fun, very chaotic, a bit out of control…
