Dirty dishes and other problems

Dirty Dishes!

DSO had a deep tissue massage on Friday and came home with bruising all over his back and upper arms. We were examining it and discussing whether this was a normal side effect of this kind of thing, or an indication of a masseur who had no idea what he was doing!  Any comments on this question are welcome!

We took photographs of the “injuries”, then, as I was downloading them onto the computer I came across a number of other shots, along similar themes. Some small scratches to the back of our car from a parking “incident”, photographs of street signs around an area where we got a parking ticket, and my favorite - photographs of dirty plates from when our dishwasher was malfunctioning (please see photos above).

Is this unusual behavior? Both DSO and I are lawyers and I never really thought it had much impact on our daily life until I noticed the pattern of our photographs! Our other favorite thing is a “contemporaneous file-note” file where we collect dated and signed statements relating to problems that we may need resolved. For example, the details of the said traffic “incident”, dated descriptions of food not removed by dishwasher, together with details of the cycle selected.

I think I’ve answered my own question, it is unusual - but as DSO and I both do it I choose to see it is as just another quirky little aspect of our match made in heaven!

I wonder if our kids will have the same perspective? I can picture Big Sis and Little Bro in some kind of support group for “children of lawyers”. Relieved to meet other people whose families set time aside on Sunday night to get their contemporaneous file-notes sorted into date order!
