DSO has finally secured his much anticipated scooter! It’s red, Italian and very shiny. The kids love to take turns wearing his helmet and sitting on it. Little Bro always suspected his dad was a legend, now he knows for sure!
The strange thing is that the question most people ask me is why I let DSO buy it. It appears that in the eyes of the world as mother of 2 (with 1 on the way) my role is now of worrier and general killjoy - hand-brake to anything fun! People who disapprove of the scooter don’t seem to lay the blame at DSOs feet - he’s a man after all, it’s the good woman who has failed in her right to veto!
Well, things don’t quite work like that in our house, in fact, once I’m no longer pregnant or breastfeeding I’m off for scooter lessons!
