Little Bro is almost 18 months old. He’s becoming such a big personality around the house! He wants to do everything his big sister does, so he has to brush his teeth with toothpaste, eat with a fork and spoon and sit on her big bike (complete with pink helmet).
They’ve really started to play together, and its such a wonderful feeling watching them cooperate, which obviously doesn’t happen all the time, but more often than I would have expected! Big Sis dresses him up from her dress up box, he’ll come charging out of her room in full fairy gear yelling, “Mumma, Mumma, Mumma!”
When she’s at Kinder he enjoys the freedom to explore all the toys without any negotiation but is really happy to go and pick her up after a couple of hours . Big Sis will often immediately give him a hug and say - “I missed him!”.
He’s becoming very cheeky and I’ve observed him spot something Big Sis is really attached to and sneak around behind her to make a ’snatch and dash’ raid, he giggles as she pursues him and drops it just as she reaches him! Of course, I can’t smile outwardly at this - but I smile on the inside as I see them setting down their Big Sis, Little Bro songlines - which I hope will last a lifetime!
