This morning Big Sis woke up to tell me that she decided today we would go flying. She was quite insistent about it and had it all worked out. First, we were going to shop to buy wings, then we were going to spend the rest off the day flying around. When I tried to explain that this wasn’t possible she really dug her heels in - and gave me that look of “You always spoil my fun”. We finally agreed to disagree and she moved on.
She was back at my side within half an hour demanding that I get her a rabbit that wears clothes and talks to her - “You know mummy, a really friendly rabbit”.
It reminded me of a quote I read the other day about the magic of childhood: “Every day for a child is like going to Paris and falling in love for the first time.”
I love the way they wake up in the morning - all shiny eyed and ready for another magic day! Today I took Little Bro to the zoo and as I watched him see the animals for the first time, and laugh out loud at the antics of his big sister - I thought, I am so lucky to be part of this.
